
WOMAD South Africa unveils 2025 line-up
WOMAD South Africa has announced the names of artists who will perform at the 2025 edition of the event at V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa from 23 to 29 September.
- Zimbabwean artist Devine Mahara is among the artists who will perform at the festival.
Audiences can expect thrilling performances from Ned Evett (US), Pepe Voltarelli and Luca Ciarla (Italy), Entropica (Chile), Alicia Edelweiss (Austria), Toty Sa’Med (Angola), Everaldo Creary (Jamaica), Divine Mahara (Zimbabwe), N’Faly Kouyaté (Belgium), and Last Jeronimo (Mexico).
Cape Town’s own The Rudimentals and Ragas Beyond Borders will infuse the local sound. The weekend will culminate in a genre-blending finale uniting Cape rhythms with New Orleans soul, featuring Dwayne Dopsie, Damon Batiste, Dizu Plaatjies, Muneeb Hermans, Mansoor Joseph, and the Cape Minstrels in a transatlantic musical celebration.

WOMAD South Africa 2025 is presented by the City of Cape Town, with support from the Embassy of Spain, European Union, Delegation of Flanders – Embassy of Belgium, Austrian Cultural Forum, High Commission of Jamaica, Ministerio de las Culturas – Gobierno de Chile, WESGRO, Yes 4 Youth, Fine Music Radio, Cape Town TV, Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation, St George’s Cathedral, Lift Air, and the V&A Waterfront.
