South Africa’s longest-running music festival, Splashy Fen, will celebrate its 35th anniversary in the Southern Drakensberg from 2 to 6 April.
South African electronic duo GoldFish will debut their full-band headline performance at Splashy Fen.
The festival has confirmed a new wave of local and international artists, with headliners GoldFish, GoodLuck and Jeremy Loops set to perform on the main stage.
In a first for South African festivals, electronic duo GoldFish will debut their full-band headline performance at Splashy Fen. “We’re beyond excited to bring this show to Splashy for the very first time,” said members Dom and Dave of GoldFish. “It’s been 17 years since we last played here, and returning with a show on this scale feels incredibly special.”
Other confirmed performers include Ndlovu Youth Choir, Will Linley, Jemma Kate, Apple Gule, Zebra, 4am Band, and Van Pletzen, reflecting a mix of indie, pop, electronic, and experimental music. Phase 1 announcements had already included Jeremy Loops, Billy Raffoul, Jack and The Weatherman, Matthew Mole, Veranda Panda, and Jesse Clegg, among others.
The 2026 edition will feature six stages, over 300 artists, more than 30 food and artisan stalls, upgraded festival facilities, family-friendly spaces, and free activities such as yoga, trail runs, and workshops. Accommodation options range from powered campsites to boutique glamping experiences.
Tickets and accommodation for the 35th anniversary are now on sale, with organisers advising early booking following the festival’s sold-out 2025 edition.
