Scheduled for July 2025, the limited three-night tour will feature full symphonic ensembles and promises to be one of the most memorable events on South Africa’s music calendar.
Known for his emotionally charged performances and genre-defying compositions, Dyantyis has built a loyal following through his work on acclaimed albums Cwaka and Somandla. His upcoming orchestral tour marks a bold new chapter, blending the intimacy of his storytelling with the grandeur of symphonic arrangements.
Cape Town will host the first leg of the tour at the Artscape Opera House on 11 and 12 July 2025. These performances will feature the 65-piece Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, which will accompany Dyantyis as he performs both fan favourites and new material from his highly anticipated project Intlambululu. His previous appearances at the venue have sold out, and demand is expected to be equally high this time.
Johannesburg audiences will have one opportunity to witness the spectacle on 19 July 2025 at Emperors Palace Centre Court. Presented in partnership with Real Wired Music and Emperors Palace, the Johannesburg performance will feature a 50-piece orchestra alongside Dyantyis and his full band.
With Symphonic Celebration, Dyantyis is not just offering a concert but crafting a transformative musical experience that merges soul, jazz, gospel, and classical elements. It’s a rare opportunity for South African audiences to witness an artist at the height of his creative powers, supported by some of the country’s finest orchestral talent.
Tickets for both Cape Town and Johannesburg shows are on sale here and here, respectively.
