The song is available for streaming and download here. In the project, MOE. tackles issues of self-neglect, which are on the rise. Curated for solo date and self-pampering enthusiasts, ‘Me, Ever After’ is complemented by a grand orchestral opening and beautifully haunting violins.
Throughout the song, MOE. employs searing vocal textures to evoke emotive narratives and uncompromising R&B powers. On the ballad, which serves as the antithesis of people pleasing, she reminds herself and her listeners of the empowering effect of setting boundaries.
“‘Me, Ever After’ is the best way in which I could express a lifelong commitment from me to me (and for you to you) to never compromise on loving myself, no matter the circumstances,” she said. “Though it’s my song, I really feel like I desperately needed to hear its message as well.”
MOE.’s love affair with music dates back to the age of 10 when she was featured on a track with gospel artist Tebs David. For over 10 years, MOE. has been laying the foundation for this very moment where she would be ready to introduce the world to who she is as both an artist and a woman.
