Call for auditions: SA State Theatre Youth Choir
The South African State Theatre's Education, Youth and Children’s Department is calling on young vocalists to audition for its choir in Pretoria on 23 February.
The call is open to all vocalists aged between 18 and 30 years. Interested singers must have exceptional voices and the commitment to sing.
Participants are required to pre-register for the audition by sending an email to Nompumelelo Skhosana at nompumelelo@statetheatre.co.za or calling 012 392 4062.
The pre-registration deadline is 21 February.
Requirements
- Vocalists should prepare two songs (two minutes each): one vernacular and one English.
- Songs must be in two different keys.
- Vocalists must be prepared to do harmonies in groups.
- Vocalists must also be prepared to do lead vocals.
Auditions will take place from 10am to 4pm at the State Theatre's Studio 4G in 320 Pretorius Street.
