Open call: Ngoma Awards 2023 entries in Zambia

How to nominate

• Dial USSD code *335# on the Zamtel mobile phone.
• Select the category for nomination.
• Enter the name of the artist you wish to nominate.
• Confirm the submission.
• Entrants will be charged five Zambia kwacha.
• Entrants will receive an SMS confirming their nomination submission.

Note: The code for access by customers on other networks as well as other platforms for nominating will be published soon.

Eligibility

• Nominees must be Zambian artists.
• Only artistic works that have been published, publicly displayed and/or performed are eligible for nomination.

Timeline

• Call for nominations opens: 12 October.
• Close of nominations: 1 November.
• Tally and adjudication: 20 November.
• Nominee announcement: 17 November.
• Voting period: 17 November to 7 December.
• Votes sorting, verification, tallying, winner selection: 8 December.
• Ngoma Awards ceremony: 9 December.
