National Arts Council of Zambia

The National Arts Council of Zambia is a Zambian organization whose thrust is to nurture the arts in Zambia. Among other activities, it sponsors Zambia's annual Ngoma Awards. The council has also encouraged funding for Zambian artists and artistic endeavors. It also claims to have helped spur the formation of new art associations through their registration procedure.

The Council also wishes to see that artists are remunerated according to the value of their work. Its mission is to facilitate the development, promotion and nurturing of all art forms countrywide. It also aims to be a strong, effective, transparent and dynamic institution for the development and promotion of all art forms countrywide. To regulate, co-ordinate, supervise and monitor all arts activities countrywide.
