Open call: Songwriting workshop with M. Rumbi & N’Jiru in Nairobi

Hosted by local musicians, M. Rumbi and N’Jiru, the event is designed to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and demystify the songwriting process. 

SOAS is a creative initiative that brings together artists in a cozy, intimate setting to write and perform music on the spot. It’s a platform where raw talent meets collaboration, resulting in unforgettable musical moments. 

Workshop highlights:

• Introduction to SOAS & songwriting: Learn about the SOAS concept and how it ties into the art of songwriting. 
• Collaborative songwriting: Work in groups to create a song based on a mood and instrument, guided by M. Rumbi and N’Jiru. 
• Presentations & SOAS showcase: Perform a song and witness a live SOAS session, where the top two groups will have their songs filmed.
