Open call: Marafiki Arts Festival 2026
The organisers of the Marafiki Arts Festival in Tanzania have opened submissions for the 2026 edition, inviting performing artists from across Africa to participate. The festival, now in its sixth year, celebrates creativity, culture, and diverse artistic expression.

Submission details
Artists and groups interested in participating must submit their applications by 20 February. The festival is seeking:
- Musicians and bands
- Dance groups
- Acrobatic performers
- Theatre ensembles
- Other performing arts groups
Required application materials
Applicants should provide the following:
- Artist biography
- Latest live performance link
- Three high-resolution photographs
- Technical rider
- Piece description or concept note
- For musicians: three audio tracks and an Electronic Press Kit (EPK)
