Lonwabo Kosi, more popularly known as Lo Squared, is a dynamic force in the South African music scene, hailing from the vibrant township of Soweto.
Lo Squared is following in his grandfather's footsteps, pursuing a career steeped in music and ambition. He embarked on his DJ journey in late 2010, discovering his passion for music while still in school.
With over a decade of experience, Lo enhanced his skills by studying Sound Engineering at City Varsity, which has contributed to his reputation as a skilled technician and creative artist.
At R1WRADIO, he took on roles as head mixing engineer, recording engineer, and technical producer for various shows. His creativity shines through in the shows he created, "The Movement Mix Series" and "The Producers Corner."
His innovative "Appreciation Mix Series" which showcases local producers only, Attracting over 35,000 listens and 5,000 downloads and over 200 daily plays has slowly built a producer community over the years. Lo has always stressed the importance of building and sustaining producer culture.
Lo's career highlights include performing at the Kanye West pre-party hosted by Castle Lite and Working on the prominent "Hip Hop 411" podcast featuring DJ EFN from Drink Champs.
Through his dedication and innovative approach, Lo Squared continues to elevate his craft while celebrating and promoting local talent.
