TikTok removed more than 820 000 videos in Kenya during the fourth quarter of 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines, according to the platform’s latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
The report shows that 820,552 videos were taken down in Kenya between October and December 2025. According to TikTok, 99.9% of the content was removed proactively before users reported it, while 98.4% was taken down within 24 hours of being posted.
The company also banned 108 752 accounts in Kenya during the same period for policy violations. Among these, 93 704 accounts were identified as potentially belonging to users under the age of 13, which breaches the platform’s rules on minimum age requirements. The figures form part of TikTok’s broader global content moderation efforts during the quarter.
Globally, the platform removed 175.3 million videos during the period, accounting for approximately 0.5% of all content uploaded to the service. TikTok said 152.6 millions of those videos were identified and removed through automated detection systems. The report also noted that 8.36 million videos initially removed were later reinstated following further review.
According to TikTok, the global proactive removal rate stood at 99.1%, while 93.4% of flagged content was removed within 24 hours of posting.
The company said its moderation approach combines automated systems with human review processes to enforce its Community Guidelines and address content including misinformation, hate speech and other policy breaches.
TikTok regularly publishes enforcement reports as part of its transparency efforts around content moderation and platform safety.
