Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre

The Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) project of the Internationale Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH), in partnership with the “House of Music” consortium invites you to a session on innovative intellectual property rights management.

The current value chain of the music industry, including creation, production, distribution, and consumption, typically comprises at least four or five parties, each of whom has a financial stake in the intellectual property rights of digital artworks. In this short presentation we will introduce a conceptual prototype of a distribution platform and demonstrate how it can create transparency in preserving the intellectual property rights of artists. We invite the audience to this discussion where ideas on the proposed business case will be exchanged and invite all stakeholders to establish a collaborative network to co-create this idea further.

Additionally, a master class on this topic will be held on Sunday 27 NOVEMBER  from 11 am to 4 pm at Protea Hotel by Marriott Dar es Salaam Courtyard Seaview Ocean Road. A brunch, drinks and coffee will be served. All interested delegates are invited to join
