
Open call: InterArts Funding business development assistant
InterArts Funding (IaF) in South Africa is inviting experienced candidates to submit applications for the business development assistant post.

IaF is an arts agency that provides funding solutions and comprehensive support to social enterprises, arts organisations and creatives in Africa. Its services revolve around helping arts practitioners to unlock new funding, opportunities and competencies that enable them to achieve their artistic and social objectives. IaF’s key services include resource mobilisation – capital campaigns, grant writing, grant management and critical business strategy formulation.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify new potential prospects.
- Establish business relations with clients over email, social networks and via phone.
- Act as the central communication support for existing and new clients.
- Assist in preparing paperwork for new and existing clients.
- Cultivate professional relationships by initiating communications and keeping in touch with potential clients.
- Research and post funding opportunities on the website and on social media.
- Send a bi-weekly opportunities newsletter to members.
- Assist in the preparation of grant applications.
- Other related duties.
Requirements
- Tertiary education/equivalent.
- Minimum three years working experience.
- Knowledge of the cultural and creative industries (CCIs).
- Knowledge of customer service principles and business correspondence
- experience (preferred).
- Well-organised, attentive to details and customer oriented.
- Understanding of administration.
- Advantageous: fundraising experience, sales and marketing experience.
- Job type: Full-time, Monday-Friday; flexible working hours.
- Start period: May.
