Call for entries: Huluku international competition for creatives
Huluku, which means ‘create’ in Swahili, seeks to showcase and promote inclusive digital art, which can then be added to stock libraries to reflect the world.
The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of £500 (about $600).
The competition targets creatives in the following fields:
- Music
- Photography
- Design
- Art
- Architecture
- Film
- Craft
- Fashion
- New Media
- Performance
- Gaming
Some of the topics to be explored include:
- Sex and sexual orientation
- Race and ethnicity
- Gender (neutral/non-binary, mainstreaming)
- Food and drink
- Bio-diversity and environmental protection
- Relationships
- Pregnancy and parental leave
- Long-term sickness like long COVID-19
- Wheelchair users
- Physical accessibility
- Digital accessibility
- Gaming and VR
- The world of work/office
Note:
- Only one entry per person.
- You still own the rights to your work.
- Submission deadline: 31 August.
Entrants will be evaluated based on:
- Creativity.
- Relevance to the theme.
- Art and design skills.
- Potential for commercial use.
