Sweet T

Siyanda Buthelezi (aka Sweet T) is a talented South African singer, songwriter, and music educator making waves in the local music scene. Born and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, Siyanda first demonstrated his aptitude in electronics while attending Tisand Technical High School. Despite excelling in his technical studies, his heart was always drawn to music.

After moving to Gauteng and settling in the vibrant township of Alexandra, Siyanda immersed himself in the local music culture. In 2003, he gained recognition with the release of his debut single "Maria," a collaboration with Hipnaughtic Sean. This early success set the stage for the formation of his own music group, Abomkgerezi, which released the hit single "Impumelelo."

Dedicated to his craft, Siyanda performed extensively around Alexandra, often without pay, to build his reputation and connect with audiences. His commitment and passion quickly earned him a loyal following.

Beyond performing, Siyanda is deeply invested in music education. He actively shares his knowledge by teaching songwriting and vocal technique, inspiring and nurturing the next generation of South African musicians.
