 Arena is a multi-purpose indoor venue located at 1 Malebye St, Saulsville, a subdivision of the Atteridgeville township in Pretoria.

  • Type: Indoor sports and event arena with a U-shaped grandstand and a main stage.
  • Facilities: The venue includes clean restrooms, showers, and a library with internet-connected desktops.
  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi is often available on-site, and there is ample, wheelchair-accessible parking.
  • Atmosphere: While spacious, visitors have noted that the structural design can make it quite cold and dusty inside during the winter or windy conditions.

The arena is a popular hub for community gatherings, religious services, and music events: 

  • Good Friday Celebration Service: Scheduled for 03 April 2026 at 1 Malebye St, hosted by Peniel – The Face of God.
  • Pheli Shutdown: A major cultural and entertainment festival taking place in Atteridgeville on 30–31 May 2026.
  • God of the Breakthrough Live Album Launch: A gospel music event featuring AFC Music ZA, set for 05 September 2026 from 17:00 to 23:00.
  • Recent Gatherings: The arena recently hosted the J5 Mega Umthandazo Holy Communion in February 2026 and served as a gathering point for the community to honour soccer legend Lucas "Masterpieces" Moripe in November 2024. 

Historical Significance

Established in the 1960s, the arena is considered a landmark of Atteridgeville. It underwent a significant revamp and was officially reopened on 08 October 1999. It is often distinguished from the nearby Lucas Moripe Stadium (formerly Super Stadium), which is a larger outdoor venue with a capacity of approximately 28,900 used primarily for professional soccer
