Parklands Sports Club

Bio

Parklands Sports Club was founded in 1906 in Parklands area, in Nairobi by a group of eleven white settlers with Mr. F. Watkins as its first President. The founders wanted to create a place they could meet, relax and play games and sports while patronizing.

The Club acquired its original 99-year land lease on 1st June 1909. A wooden and iron sheet shack that acted as the Clubhouse stood at the current parking Tennis ground. The Club has introduced both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails in their bars. You can access the cocktails from any of their four bars, which include: Centenary Bar (main Bar), Pool Bar, Rhino Bar and Twiga Bandas Bar.

Cocktails served include both international and local creations, specially prepared and served by their barmen. Parklands Sports Club being one of the top and pioneer Clubs of Kenya has achieved much recognition by providing venues and other sporting facilities for training and championship for both local and international events.

The Club has a rich history of sporting excellence in Lawn Tennis, Squash, to mention but a few. All these Sports have attracted membership participation and high level of tournaments. The Club has always kept in mind, the less disadvantaged members of the society and has for years touched many needy hearts.
