Bio

Lusweti Institute for Health Development Communication is a non-governmental organization indigenous to Swaziland, Southern Africa dedicated to the creation and provision of innovative social behavior change communication programs. Its efforts are focused on bringing social change to society ensuring that the majority of people in the country will be practicing positive behavior with respect to HIV/AIDS, health and development.

The organization uses the arts such as music to drive its message. On 7 September 2013, Lusweti launched an album called ‘Sitawuphumelela — Songs of Hope’ at the country’s premier music venue House on Fire. Local artists such as Bholoja, Floewe, Masikane, KrTC, Psycholution, Qibho and Sands, and Blacknote, amongst others, contributed to the album. The album features a variety of hip-hop and country, alongside world fusion and Afro-jazz in both English and Siswati languages.
