Bio
Born on March 28, 1997, in the town of Khemisset, Houda Abouz developed a deep passion for writing and cinema, eventually studying film at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University in Tétouan. She picked up the microphone in 2016, spending years honing a distinct musical identity that fuses classic hip-hop foundations with modern, intricate sonic textures.
By late 2019, her viral social media freestyles caught the attention of the industry. Her official entrance arrived via the massive 2020 collaborative single "Hors Série," alongside titans ElGrandeToto, Draganov, and Don Bigg. The track quickly amassed millions of streams and positioned Khtek as an undeniable cultural force. She followed this success with hard-hitting solo statements like "KickOff" and "Ftila," tracks praised globally for addressing patriarchal norms and structural inequities.
Her profound impact has earned global prestige. The BBC named her to their prestigious 100 Most Influential Women list, and she secured the Best Female HipHop Artist title at the Billboard Arabia Awards. Seamlessly shifting across Arabic, French, and English, Khtek continues to headline global festivals and expand the international footprint of North African rap.
