Bio
JULIEY MUMIA is a multifaceted, sensational Musician from Kenya, a songwriter, singer, guitarist where shee is among the top female players and learning other traditional instruments in the likes of litungu and nyatiti. Her love for songwriting has put her on the map as an outstanding Swahili songwriter fusing it with traditionall elements from her cultured origin.
Her journey has been emerging and is quite known as a revolutionist breaking barriers as a coastal artist. In 2019 she officially launched herself as a solo artist, lots of growth, inspiration and currently she has 14 released songs among an album dubbed Injira in September 2024, she is well known for her famous songs, Nditsanga, Ndeshera, Mamam Yo and Sena Alwanyi. This year she has a planned project full of collaborations, an Ep album, she is yet to travel to Zanzibar for her songwriting boot camp and connecting with her fellow artists there, scores to featured songs and etc. She has managed to play in top Nairobi and coast events with her electrifying performance on stage. Music influences are from, Miriam Makeba, Dobet, Asa, India Arie, Tracy Chapman, Suzanna and many others
art is embodies in her, she designs accesories, Shangani, as custom made and trains upcoming musicians on the guitar, vocals and songwriting.
Her favorite quote is music is a higher philosophy than wisdom, and without memory there is no culture so let us tell stories about our culture for generations to come.

Vision and Mission
As a social agent I want to adress the societal themes and issues and spread positive messages to people all over the world. I want to mentor other young people in the Coast, and create live gigs where we can encourage original music being played everywhere.
