DiTeboho
Bio
I am Teboho “DiTeboho” Kobedi - a South African musician, composer, and educator whose work is rooted in African sonic heritage and shaped by formal training and lived experience. As a pianist, vocalist, and arranger, I explore music as a vessel for storytelling, healing, and gratitude. Drawing from jazz, gospel, indigenous rhythms, and improvisation, my sound reflects a deep engagement with both tradition and contemporary expression. My debut single, DiTeboho, and EP, Light a Candle, center themes of light, resilience, and remembrance, honoring the past while envisioning brighter futures. Having performed at festivals like Cape Town and the National Arts Festival in Makhanda, I see music as a dialogue, between generations, emotions, and communities. As an educator, I strive to nurture the next generation of musicians as cultural storytellers and changemakers. DITEBOHO - My music is an offering of thanks. A call to listen, remember, and imagine.
