Flowking Stone, Olamide to host December concerts
This December will see two of West Africa’s big artists, Flowking Stone and Olamide, organise concerts in their respective cities.
Ghana’s Flowking Stone will host the first edition of what is expected to be an annual concert. Oseikrom Shutdown will take place on 23 December at the Kumasi City Mall. The aim, Flowking’s team has said, is intended to contribute to the entertainment scene in Kumasi.
“Oseikrom Shutdown,” said Flowking Stone, “aside being an appreciation concert intends to inject some life into outdoor musical concerts in the city. The concert will be one of a kind and quite different from any musical show anyone has witnessed in Kumasi.”
Although artists to perform at the show are yet to be announced, the event is expected to give up and coming acts a hand in the industry.
In Lagos, Nigerian rapper Olamide will host the fourth edition of his massively popular Olamide Live in Concert on 17 December.
The first three years the event took place at the Eko Convention Centre at Victoria Island. This year it will take place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere on the Lagos Mainland.
Each of the past editions has taken place with Olamide having new material. It will be no different this year, as already the artist has released his seventh solo album Lagos Nawa, which was dropped followed the success of the single ‘Wo!’.
