The winning team will advance to the World Championship, where they will join international contenders competing for a share of a $1 million prize pool.
Set to take place in Lagos from 30 to 31 August, the grand finals promise a high-energy blend of competitive gaming and live music entertainment.

As official music sponsor, Spotify will curate the event’s soundtrack and enhance the fan experience with live performances by DJs and artists, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere. Attendees will also enjoy the Spotify Fan Zone, featuring a music lounge, interactive activities, phone charging stations, and exclusive giveaways.
In the lead-up to the grand finals, Spotify will launch the Carry1st Africa Cup Official Playlist, celebrating Afrobeats, Afro-gaming tracks, and popular hits from across the continent. Fans will vote for the final track list during the Nigeria regional finals on social media. The playlist will go live on 3 August, with a full reveal during the week of 11 August across Carry1st and Spotify’s social platforms.
Spotify Sub-Saharan Africa associate director of marketing Sithabile Kachisa said: “Spotify is thrilled to partner with Carry1st to bring the power of music to the biggest mobile gaming tournament on the continent. Together, we’re creating a space where African gamers and artists can shine on a global stage.”
