Call for submissions: 2020 Nief-Norf Summer Festival in the US
Composers from all nationalities are invited to submit scores for the 2020 edition of the Nief-Norf Summer Festival (nnSF) in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The compositions should be for a chamber ensemble (three to 12 players). Successful composers will be invited to attend the festival and coach festival students and faculty members in the preparation of the work.
Interested participants will be required to pay a registration fee of $15 for the first composition and $10 each for up to three additional works each.
The applications deadline is 15 January.
“If your score is selected, you will be invited and expected to attend the nnSF20, during a three-day period determined by the rehearsal and performance schedule,” the nnSF said. “Composers will be given the opportunity to work directly with the fellows in preparation for a performance of their pieces. Selected composers will be offered accommodations for two nights and meals for three days. However, travel will not be covered or reimbursed.”

Requirements
Participants must submit the following:
- Biography.
- Title of each submission.
- Programme notes for each submission.
- Link to audio or video of the work, if available.
Participants should complete the online application form here. They are also required to send the scores in PDF via email at callforscores@niefnorf.org. Audio or video files should not be emailed.
