Call for entries: Boomplay Afrobeats playlist challenge
Felabration, in partnership with Boomplay Music, is calling on Afrobeats fans to participate in the Boomplay Afrobeats challenge.
- The call is intended to honour Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.
The partnership, which is in its fourth edition, is intended for honouring Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. Five participants stand a chance to win smartphones, BoomBuddy Essentials and more in the challenge.
The deadline for participation is 27 October.
How to participate
- Create a playlist titled ‘Afrobeats Playlist’ on Boomplay, consisting of at least five Fela Kuti songs alongside 15 other songs in the Afrobeats genre.
- Post a screenshot of your playlist on BoomBuzz, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #BoomFelabration2019, #AfroBeatsPlaylist and Boom ID, for example #92568233. Follow and tag @boomplaymusicng in your posts.
- Get your friends to listen to your playlist. The more people you get to stream your playlist, the higher your chances of winning.
Terms and conditions
- The playlist must contain 20 Afrobeats songs including five Fela songs.
- The title of the playlist must be set as ‘Afrobeats playlist’.
- Playlist must be created within the duration of the activity.
- Only the number of people who stream the playlist as many times as possible will be counted.
- Only one entry (playlist) is allowed per participant.
- Participants must reside in Nigeria.
- Spammers will be automatically disqualified
The inners will be announced on 31 October.
Hints
- Locate ‘genres’ within the app and search the ‘Afrobeats’ section for a huge catalogue of music belonging to the genre.
- Share playlist URL through social media accounts and get your friends to stream it.
- Ensure the playlist is set as 'public' so other users can see it and stream.
