
Call for auditions: Sauti Academy at ONGEA! 2019
Sauti Academy in partnership with ONGEA! is calling on artists to participate in an ongoing audition at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, for an opportunity to win a one-year scholarship.
- Music students at Sauti Academy.
The scholarship will be offered to two individuals. Anyone can try out and auditions will run twice daily from 12 pm to 12.30 pm at stand No 17 and 12.30pm to 2 pm on the main conference sage.
The closing date for the auditions is 17 February.
The auditions are part of an artist development initiative started by Penya Africa in 2010. Penya Africa began as a record label before upgrading its services to facilitate the development of young artists in Kenya.
Audition requirements
- One song of four minutes.
- Both live instrumentation and backing tracks are encouraged.
- Note that auditions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
