Call for applications: Berklee College of Music Valencia scholarships
Berklee College of Music – Valencia Campus in Spain is accepting applications for its undergraduate, graduate degree and summer scholarship programmes.

Berklee is an institute of contemporary music and the performing arts, offering undergraduate and graduate degree programmes at its campuses in Boston and Massachusetts in the US and Valencia, Spain.

Interested individuals can apply for the following graduate programmes:
- Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) – This is a one-year, intensive performance programme for musicians interested in music genres taking place in a unique environment for musical and personal growth. View the requirements here.
- Master of Arts in Global Entertainment and Music Business – This is a one-year, intensive music business programme where students learn from faculty active in the music industry and develop a global perspective. Students personalise their experience through elective courses and a concentration in live entertainment, entrepreneurship, or the record industry. - Master of Music in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games – This is a one-year, intensive programme that offers an advanced, individualised course of study where students sharpen their scoring skills while developing their own personal style. Students lead recording sessions with professional musicians and receive in-depth instruction in narrative analysis, orchestration, and dramatic effects to support the story. - Master of Music in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation – This is a one-year, intensive master’s degree programme that pushes creativity and musical expression to technological limits while creating the next generation of immersive and interactive music media. Students learn from leading industry professionals and get hands-on experience with various subjects while building their portfolio in Berklee's state-of-the-art studios. Interested individuals can apply for the following undergraduate programmes:
- First Year Abroad – This programme develops the applicant’s musicianship and engages them in a coherent liberal arts curriculum that informs your thinking about issues that have shaped our time. At the same time, the First Year Abroad programme provides a life-changing international experience to those students who are especially curious about the world around them.
- Berklee Study Abroad – This programme provides globally minded students with the opportunity to become successful global music leaders and prepare for international careers. Students may take advantage of performance and experiential learning opportunities at the Valencia campus, meet top visiting artists and network with graduate students on campus.
Interested individuals can apply for the following summer programmes:
- Spain Summer Performance Programme – This programme provides an opportunity for both Berklee and non-Berklee students worldwide to improve their performance, theory, production and technology skills, and take a workshop in the state-of-the-art campus or from their own home, and network in a multicultural environment.
- Symphonic Bands Workshops – This programme is offered exclusively to musicians and conductors that are members of the Federación de Sociedades Musicales de la Comunidad Valenciana.
Requirements
The following must be uploaded via the application form before submitting it:
- A link to a self-produced video uploaded to YouTube (max three minutes).
- A recommendation letter.
- A statement of purpose (letter of motivation).
- Links to three recent performances (at least one video), with a short description of your role in each.
- Link to the artist’s website or Facebook page (optional).
- A one-paged biography (optional).
- A description of the project to be developed as part of your Culminating Experience (thesis) project. More information on the Culminating Experience project is available here.
Note:
- Each description should be as specific as possible and include how each project will foster your academic, artistic, musical and professional growth through Berklee and beyond.
- You may include slides or any visual aids that would help to convey your ideas.
- Do not share materials via WeTransfer, DropBox, Google Drive, or other platforms.
