Tshegofatso Matabane

Tshegofatso Matabane is a South African creative social entrepreneur, DJ, classical violinist, and Digital Community Strategist whose work connects art, culture, and social impact. Trained at the internationally acclaimed Buskaid String Ensemble, she developed a strong musical foundation that shapes her approach to artistry, curation, and community-building. She expresses her sound through both violin performance and DJing, drawing from soulful, jazz, alternative, African, and classical influences.

Tshegofatso is the Founder and Creative Director of Lesedi La Rona Kreatives, supporting creatives and arts organisations with digital marketing, creative administration, event curation, and community-focused cultural programming. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Cultural Policy and Management at the University of the Witwatersrand, focusing on cultural ecosystems, creative economies, and equitable access to the arts.

Driven by her purpose to innovate social change through creative leadership, she continues to build platforms and digital communities that inspire transformation within South Africa’s creative landscape.
