Rafield G (Rafield S. Gbawo Jr.) is a Liberian singer-songwriter from Monrovia whose blend of Afrobeat, Kolo-pop, and R&B has made him one of the country's most promising new artists. Since launching his professional career in 2023, Rafield G has gone from performing in high school classrooms to releasing music that resonates across West Africa and beyond.
His breakthrough came with "Aayah," featuring Hipco rapper JB The General and produced by Spex. The track has gathered over 169,000 streams and demonstrates Rafield's talent for pairing emotional lyrics with polished production.
Rafield's success has been amplified through strategic collaborations. "Polay," a collaboration with T Que Beatz, Muzikal, and Natif, became a viral hit in Liberia's music scene, accumulating over 628,000 plays on Audio Mack and more than 200,000 streams on YouTube, making it one of the year's most talked-about tracks. His latest collaboration, "XXX," alongside T Que Beatz, Muzikal, King Dennis, and Christoph The Change, debuted at #41 on the Liberia Apple Music chart and has already surpassed 143,000 streams since its December 2025 release. He's also worked with established artist JaRedo on "Blessings," showing his ability to connect with different generations of Liberian musicians.
