Ntunja is a traditional singer - songwriter from Kwa-Thema Springs-Gauteng. She possess an African voice that transcends mere melody, with unique and authentic vocal sounds. Wich resonates with the depth of emotions, drawing on a rich tapestry of influences to weave the sound that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. Her stardom became evident when she would perform for family and friends that's where her confidence was honed. In 2013 she joined the international trio The Mahotella Queens and has performed in world stages. In 2022 and 2024 she was nominated for the BIMA awards for Traditional artists of the year. In 2024 she released her EP Dawa Yangu (My Remedy), which is a sonic exploration that transcends genre limitations and uplifts spirits.
