Bio
naitwa.evodius is a guitarist, vocalist, and Afro‑Fusion artist from Bagamoyo, Tanzania. His sound blends East African rhythms with reggae, soul, and jazz influences—sung in both Swahili and English. Known for his captivating live performances, he uses live looping to build songs layer by layer on stage, combining voice, guitar, and rhythm into a powerful, evolving experience.
Sometimes he performs solo, creating full arrangements in real time; other times he brings a full band to the stage, adding energy, movement, and musical depth. Often, he merges both worlds—looping live while the band joins in with vibrant textures.
Beyond his solo work, naitwa.evodius has also contributed as a guitarist and backing vocalist for renowned East African artists such as Hussein Masimbi, Vitali Maembe, Sauti Marley, and the Magomamoto Theatre Group—showcasing his versatility and deep connection to Tanzania’s live music scene. His music tells stories of healing, identity, and spirit.
