Mc Mahoniboni

Bienvenue Mahoro Ruhungande, popularly known as Mc Mahoniboni, is a Rwandan hip-hop artist based in the Netherlands. He was born to Silas Rugande and Josephine Nyiransengimana. He started his music career in 1997. His debut release ‘Malariye Nindwara Yicyorezo Kandi Yica’ (malaria is an epidemic, it kills) was in 1999. The song was used by the Ministry of health in 2000 as a campaign against malaria. Some of his songs are ‘Dusenge’, ‘Kubaka Izina’, ‘Twitabire Umurimo’ and many others. In 2009, he left Rwanda and went for the Netherlands.
