MACG

MacG, born MacGyver Mukwevho, is a South African broadcaster, DJ, podcaster and digital media entrepreneur who has become one of the most influential voices in contemporary African entertainment. Raised in Gauteng, he developed an early interest in radio, television and popular culture, which would later shape his multifaceted career.

He began his professional journey in youth television and community radio, steadily building experience as a presenter and on-air personality. Known for his energetic style and curiosity-driven interviews, MacG gradually established himself within commercial radio and live event spaces.

In 2018, he launched Podcast and Chill with MacG, a weekly podcast that quickly grew into a cultural phenomenon. The show is recognised for its unfiltered conversations, humour, and wide-ranging discussions that touch on music, entertainment, relationships, and social issues. It has hosted many of South Africa’s most prominent artists, creatives and public figures, contributing significantly to the rise of podcast culture on the continent.
