About
Mzwandile September is a South African composer and music professional working across television, film, and digital media. He is an active television composer, with music placements on popular broadcast productions including Generations: The Legacy, Bromance, Ngithande Nam, Shebeen Queens, and Married at First Sight.
He is the co-founder of the Scoring for TV and Digital Media Workshops, an educational initiative focused on equipping emerging and marginalized creatives with practical skills and industry insight into music for screen. The workshops address music theory, sound sourcing and sound design, production music workflows, publishing fundamentals, metadata, and career readiness, while fostering mentorship and professional networks.
In addition to his creative and educational work, September serves as a Website Moderator for Music In Africa, contributing to the platform’s mission of amplifying African music voices, maintaining editorial integrity, and supporting knowledge-sharing across the continent.
