Jowy was born and raised in Kampala in a Christian family. She grew up with her parents and siblings, but only her mother supported her school fees after her father passed away. Financial difficulties forced her to leave school and pursue work, which eventually led her toward the music industry.

Jowy’s musical journey began around 2019. She was introduced to the industry by established artists and managers and initially performed as a backup singer and rising artist.
