Gibril Adedayo Hassan Mansaray is a Hip-hop, Afro-beats & Reggae recording artist. Gibril has consistently set the pace with his rare musical talent. From humble beginnings, the award-winning cross-genre artist is making a name for himself across Africa.
As a child, he found solace in music. Originally inspired by his father's record collection and his brother's love of reggae music, he expressed his creativity at an early age, growing up in Opebi - Ikeja, in Lagos Nigeria.
When asked about his foray into the music industry and some of the challenges he faced, Gibril said: "I have made poor decisions, and learnt from them. I found it challenging to work a 9-9, and work on my music career, but I gave it my best.
Gibrilville has performed in festivals across America, since the release of his debut single "streets of Africa" and his 2015 album "The foreigner JJC.
In 2016, he was hosted by Kat Beal at the down town hoe down annual festival in Detroit, Michigan. Gibrilville has shared stages along international acts like guns and roses, twisted sisters and Adrenalin mob ( Amazura Nyc), Dead prez(Brooklyn Nyc, Talib Kwali (Manhattan Nyc) , Meta and the cornerstone(Brooklyn) and many more, before moving to Ghana in 2018.
He was a opening act on the Afro-chela festival in Accra , Ghana. He has performed at the YFM annual concert series. Earlier this year he was also invited by Naija Fm in Lagos Nigeria to perform at the "Cappa" showcase concert.
With three singles to show this year – ‘Dididaada’ (feat. Wanluv da Kubolor), ‘Can of Soda, & ‘Angels’ – and close to 500,000 streams on Spotify for the former alone.
Gibrilville joined the likes of Black Sherif, Keche, Obaapa Christy, Amerado and more to rock the stage of the now-ended Ghana DJ Awards 2022 Coming on before the likes of the earlier mentioned artists, the Hip-Hop and Afro-beat artist lit up the Silver Star Tower in style when tasked to shut down the annual event on November 5 in Accra - Ghana.
