Alamin Abdeletif

Bio

Born in 1942 in Asmara, Alamin Abdeletif, is an Eritrean singer who began to sing at weddings and other public celebrations before he joined the Mahber Theater Asmara. In his 30s, Alamin was forced to flee the country to Saudi Arabia, because of political issues by the Ethiopian occupiers. He sings traditional and modern songs in Tigre and Tigrigna. His famous songs include: 'Uma', 'Selam Kibleki Selam', and 'Abay Aba Shawel'.
