Treesha
Bio
Treesha, also known as Patricia Wambui Mwaura, embodies the vibrant fusion of cultures in music, transcending boundaries from Nairobi to global stages. Her musical journey, rooted in her Kikuyu heritage, began under the influence of her father's love for music and guitar mastery. Leading choirs in Nairobi during her formative years, Treesha's voice resonated beyond local confines, hinting at her future international appeal.
Moving to Germany in her teenage years marked a pivotal chapter, challenging Treesha to adapt to a new language and culture. Undeterred, she embraced an independent spirit, balancing her music aspirations with a role as a Medical Assistant—a testament to the hustle of an independent musician.
In 2012, joining Gentleman & The Evolution Band propelled Treesha onto international stages, leading to her debut album 'Listen' in 2015. The album's success, including the chart-topping single 'Rude Gyal Swing' on German MTV Urban Charts, established Treesha as a rising star.
Collaborations with Grammy-winning songwriter Medisun on tracks like "Fyah Daughter" and "Chat Box" showcased Treesha's commitment to innovation. Following the release of 'Listen,' she boldly founded her own label, Twende Records, emphasizing her independence in navigating the music industry.
Treesha's versatility as a vocalist shone alongside legends like Kymani Marley and Shaggy, transcending musical genres and cultural boundaries. Her sophomore album, "Love, Scars & Attitude," not only showcases her artistic evolution but also narrates a personal story of love, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams.
Performing at renowned events like Rebel Salute in Jamaica and Summerjam Festival, Treesha's global influence continues to grow. Her hands-on approach in the studio, coupled with a unique fashion sense, adds authenticity and passion to her work, setting her apart not just as a musician but as a distinctive artist.
