Songbird

Songbird is an artist from South Africa. 

The Song bird is a singer,songwriter and great performing act.
Born Nelisiwe Bridget Motsoene in Duduza Ekurhuleni.
The Song bird comes from a musical family and background…participating in musical theater as
early as Primary school.
Her humble beginnings include performances she did with past local production houses such as
Imbawula art productions.
Her musical career began straight after she matriculated.
The transition into becoming a beautiful vocalist and songwriter,
Came with the preparation and involvement in the WOMAD 22 festival of SA.
Her musical influences range from a diversity of great musicians..like Tina Turner and Busi
Mhlongo.
She is into a fusion of African sounds with her voice and an upbeat energy from her rhythm.
She has worked on an international project called Kindred spirits. She had also worked with
John Lindemann
