Sally Njie

Bio

Sally Njie (born 9 February 1989 is a Gambian entrepreneur and media personality. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Brand Plus, the parent company for Wah Sa Halat Talk Shows and Music Awards.

After more than a decade experience on radio, presenting and producing sports news, music and also hosting talk shows and events, she worked as a marketing agent.

Sally Njie, who is also known as Sista, worked as an artist manager and PR for entertainment companies in The Gambia.

She co-hosted an online talk show that talks about social issues affecting society, and later became the Host of an Entertainment show on National TV called Fiila.

The Wah Sa Halat show grew from a weekly radio program to an annual music awards which eventually happens to be the biggest of its kind.

Three editions of the awards show were massively successful as deserving stakeholders bagged their trophies including tributes and homages to veteran musicians. The show attracted a lot of celebrities including international stars.

In 2017, her company Brand Plus was contracted to facilitate a campaign on gender based violence, a training workshop and the production of songs and a music video by Gambian artistes, this project was funded by UNICEF Gambia and initiated by Think Young Women.
She landed another contract from UNFPA to produce a compilation album on advocacy the same year.

Sista Njie went on to acquire more knowledge on entrepreneurship by bagging certificates on Entrepreneurship training workshop and the Entrepreneurship Driven By Innovation workshop organized by Empretec and YEP Gambia.

In 2017, Sista also signed an endorsement deal as a brand ambassador with the biggest GSM network service provider in the country AFRICELL that comprise of a nationwide and online promotional package and a spot on their radio station (Afri Radio).
