SKON SOKOLA – The Warrior of African Sound

Hailing from Kinshasa (DRC), SKON SOKOLA is a multifaceted artist: guitarist, singer, songwriter, and cultural entrepreneur.

A former member of Koffi Olomide’s Quartier Latin, he has established himself as a rising star in African world music, capable of connecting the continent’s traditions with the energy of the modern world.

His sound is a vibrant fusion of rock, Afrobeat, folk, and ancestral rhythms from Bandundu, which he has elevated through his original style, ANGUNDA—a sound that is raw, spiritual, and profoundly contemporary.
On stage, SKON SOKOLA becomes a lion, possessed by a rare intensity: his guitar speaks, his voice captivates, and each performance transforms into a sensory and emotional experience.

Based in Cameroon, he developed the concept “La Scène Enflammée” (The Flaming Stage), a fusion of music, dance, and spirituality. This project aims to showcase the richness of African art and unite audiences through a powerful, unifying energy. SKON collaborates with numerous artists from the pan-African and international music scenes, affirming his ambition to build bridges between cultures and reposition African music at the heart of the world’s major stages.
