Oleary Spakajo
Bio
Mangaliso Bandile Simelane, known to the world as Oleary Spakajo, is a rapper and storyteller born and raised in the small town of Motshane, Eswatini. Emerging onto the scene in 2018, his music is a direct reflection of his journey—a fusion of hard-hitting beats and soulful storytelling that serves as both a personal catharsis and a beacon for others facing hardship. Inspired by the visionary artistry of Kanye West and the raw collective energy of A$AP Mob, Oleary crafts a sound that is as introspective as it is explosive.
Over the past several years, he has built a solid foundation, releasing three mixtapes and a string of singles. The track “SHIGGY” became a defining moment, generating a significant buzz in 2023 and cementing his reputation as an artist to watch. This momentum has carried him beyond the borders of Eswatini, with memorable live performances in South Africa’s key cultural hubs, including Maboneng in Johannesburg, Emalahleni in Witbank, and Nelspruit in Mpumalanga.
What sets Oleary Spakajo apart is his undeniable command of the stage. Whether delivering turn-up anthems or weaving intricate narratives, his live show has a unique ability to captivate new audiences, leaving crowds in a “shockingly loud and happy mood.” With a new mixtape on the horizon, he continues to push his artistry forward, turning pain into power and stories into movement.
