Bio
MAVA is a Cape Town-born award-winning singer, actor, dancer, and creative arts practitioner with extensive experience in regional, national, and international performances. He is the founder of Living Glory Entertainment, a company established in 2019 to produce high-quality work across the entertainment industry. Under his leadership, the company has successfully staged productions such as Faith in Love and If Jazz Be the Food of Love.
Beyond performance, MAVA is deeply engaged in arts education. He specializes in African Music History and Writing as an academic tutor and is currently studying to teach music in the Senior and FET phase. Passionate about nurturing young talent, he is expanding his work to include teaching music theory. His research interests include the historical impact of apartheid laws on the South African music industry, particularly how they restricted black musicians’ ability to perform, record, and sustain their careers.
MAVA has written Dear Tata... What Makes a Man a Man, further showcasing his commitment to storytelling and thought-provoking artistic expression. His dedication to the creative arts continues to shape his work as a performer, educator, and creative leader.
