Kensei Funqui (pronounced Kensay Funky) aka The Funqui Samurai, is a South African music producer, singer-songwriter, lyricist, audio engineer, MC, graphic designer and video editor. Originally from Durban, but currently based in the Eastrand of Johannesburg, South Africa.
His music reflects his life and life in general. All the HIIIIIGHS and the lows of staying alive in this pandemic age are told through catchy, melodic hooks and skilfully written and performed "bars". His music production fuses the timeless sounds of Jazz, Soul and Funk, with the current vibes of Trap and Alternative RnB.
