Bio

Grace Nyele Mensah is a music executive, publishing specialist, and cultural entrepreneur with over a decade of experience working across music distribution, rights administration, and creative industry development. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Direction, a foundation that continues to inform her multidisciplinary approach to music, storytelling, and artist growth.

She currently serves as the Operations Officer and Head of Publishing at Apprise Music & Media, a leading African music distribution and rights management company. In this role, Grace provides strategic oversight for operations, publishing administration, artist services, and international partnerships. Her leadership has been central to strengthening Apprise Music’s systems, expanding its pan-African reach, and positioning the company as a credible gateway for African artists seeking sustainable global careers.

Grace has worked closely with respected music labels, including Big Ben Music Production, Eazyway Music Production, and Agya Paye Records, and has supported the careers of renowned artists such as Joyce Blessing, Amakye Dede, Noble Nketsiah, and Abiana. Her expertise spans release planning, digital distribution strategy, publishing administration, and rights protection, ensuring creators retain value and long-term control over their work.

Beyond her executive role at Apprise Music, Grace is also the co-founder of RocAfrik Music & Arts Festival, a cultural platform dedicated to celebrating African music, arts, and creative exchange. Through RocAfrik, she contributes to live music development, cross-border collaboration, and the promotion of African creativity on international stages.

Grace is an active participant in global music industry forums. She has represented Ghana and Apprise Music at major international gatherings, including WOMEX (World Music Expo) and the MAMA Music & Convention in Paris, where she has engaged with global stakeholders on publishing, distribution, and African market development. In 2025, she was part of Apprise Music’s official delegation to WOMEX, supporting the elevation of Ghanaian and African artists within global music networks.

Her industry work also extends to education and capacity building. Grace has organized and facilitated music business workshops across multiple regions in Ghana and contributed to international initiatives such as the Ghana–France Soundscape Publishing Programme, sharing practical insights on music rights, distribution, and digital strategy. She has also spoken at seminars, including FireApp Submit, mentoring emerging artists and creative entrepreneurs on navigating today’s evolving music economy.

Grace Nyele Mensah is widely regarded as a thoughtful operator and advocate for artist sustainability. Through her work in operations, publishing, live events, and education, she continues to play a key role in shaping a stronger, more equitable music business ecosystem in Ghana and across Africa.
