Bio

Fiona is a talented vocalist and percussionist with extensive experience in the music industry. She served as a backing vocalist for the late Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi from 2011 to 2019, performing in over 15 countries, including Lebanon, Japan, Canada, USA,UK, Egypt, South Africa, Namibia, Portugal, and Rwanda. During her tenure with Dr Oliver Mtukudzi, she has done vocals (under the Black Spirits) on various collaborated shows with notable artists such as Yvonne Chakachaka, Ringo Madhlingozi, and Judith Sephuma,Hugh Masekela (the late).

In addition to her work after Oliver Mtukudzi, Fiona has also performed and recorded with Jah Prayzah on various projects. She is a skilled percussionist, proficient in playing the hosho and tambourine.

Fiona is a dedicated social worker, with a passion for promoting gender equality and child welfare. She is particularly interested in empowering women and challenging them to boldy partake in male-dominated industries, such as music as there is space for everyone. She volunteers at the Nate Foundation, an organization supporting children with Fanconi anaemia, a rare form of cancer.

Currently, Fiona serves as an Event assistant for the Jacaranda Music Festival in Zimbabwe (2025), where she is gaining valuable experience in project and event management, stage management, and artist liaison.

Fiona's motto is "Bloom Where You're Planted, There is No Better You Than You!" - a testament to her commitment to personal and professional growth, despite the challenges associated with gender roles and motherhood.
