  • My name is Shaibu Kassim Sapi, and I come from Mwanza, Tanzania. Music has been a central part of my life since childhood, largely influenced by my mother's deep love for all genres of music. As a police officer, she would return home from work and tune in to the radio, exposing me to a diverse range of musical styles. Even on days when I hesitated to go to school, she would accompany me, carrying the radio, and our walks were always accompanied by the rhythms of various tunes. These early experiences ignited my passion for music, shaping my upbringing profoundly.
  • In 2005, I made my debut on stage, performing for the first time at the Ccm Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza. Subsequently, in 2006, I embarked on a journey as a DJ in Mwanza, diving deeper into the world of music. Seeking formal education in the arts, I enrolled in Acting and Directing at Tasuba College in 2010, laying the foundation for my future endeavors.
  • In 2011, I reached a significant milestone in my career by establishing my own music studio, One Love fx. It was in 2013 that I released my debut songs "Changamkaa," "Maneno Maneno," and "Chemsha Ubongo," marking the beginning of my musical journey. The year 2014 witnessed my performance at the esteemed Fiesta Festival, solidifying my presence in the music scene.
  • In 2017, I transitioned from Mwanza to Dar Es Salaam, where I founded Mkwawa Production Studio in Sinza Kwa Remmi. Collaborating with BongoHoodzpichaz, I delved into the realms of audio and movie production, releasing notable tracks like "Katembo" and "Soma" in 2017 and 2018, respectively. The year 2019 saw the release of "Umempata," further establishing my foothold in the industry.
  • My breakthrough moment arrived in February 2020 with the release of "Buku," a chart-topping hit that propelled my career to new heights. I followed this with a remix of "Buku" and subsequent releases including "Mjukuu," "Goal," "Simamisha," "I Hate," and "Hahahahaha," cementing my status as a formidable force in Tanzanian music.
