Dino Miranda
Bio
Dino Miranda is an award-winning artist, singer, guitarist, composer, arranger, and producer, known for his innovative fusion of Marrabenta, Afro-pop, and contemporary genres. He is the CEO of Dinomirandamusic & Trading (SA) and Miramundo Produções (Moz). Dino began his musical journey at the University of Cape Town, where he studied jazz from 2001 to 2004, which shaped his versatile sound.
Dino's discography includes the album Moya wa Kaya (2008), the EP Baby Eu Te Quero (2014), and the albums Xiluva(2018) and Mocambique (2021). He also released the singles Danço Comigo (2021) and the Afrika Soul Remix of A Vida é Bela (2023).
His work has earned him multiple accolades, including the 2009 Mozambique Music Awards for Best Jazz and Best New Artist, and recognition at the 2016 International Songwriting Competition in the World Music category.
Dino has performed at prestigious festivals, including the HIFA Festival in Zimbabwe (2018), the MMM Showcase Festival in Mozambique (2019), Festival da Marrabenta in Maputo (2022), Rocking the Green Festival in South Africa (2022), and Timmverik Festival in Sweden (2023). He will also perform at the Afrika Festival Stuttgart in Germany in 2024.
