DIA DIA MALOYA

Created in 2025, DIA DIA MALOYA is a musical ensemble from Reunion Island and Madagascar, born from the meeting of Malagasy musician Mamiso and Reunionese artist Frédéric Madia.

Bringing together five musicians, the group explores a repertoire that blends maloya, traditional Malagasy music and African influences through a contemporary acoustic approach deeply rooted in the cultures of the Indian Ocean.

On stage, DIA DIA MALOYA features a rich and diverse instrumentation including guitar, kabosy, transverse flute, saxophone, balafon, roulèr, n'goni, drum kit and traditional percussion. This unique combination creates a distinctive rhythmic identity and a vibrant musical dialogue between the two islands.

Comprised of Mamiso, Frédéric Madia, Shoa'h Rakoto, Tina Ratelofera and Anas Mall, the group draws on the diversity of its members' artistic backgrounds to create a coherent, dynamic and accessible musical experience for a wide audience.

Créé en 2025, DIA DIA MALOYA est une formation réunionno-malgache née de la rencontre entre Mamiso (Madagascar) et Madia (La Réunion). Le groupe réunit cinq musicien·ne·s autour d’un répertoire qui croise maloya, musiques traditionnelles malgaches et influences africaines, au sein d’une approche acoustique, moderne et ancrée dans les cultures de l’océan Indien.​Sur scène, le collectif déploie une instrumentation variée : guitare, kabosy, flûte traversière, saxophone, balafon, roulèr, n’goni, kit batterie et petites percussions. Cette combinaison d’instruments donne à la musique du groupe une identité rythmique marquée et un son caractéristique, où se répondent les deux îles.​Composé de Mamiso, Madia, Shoa’h Rakoto, Tina et Anas, le groupe s’appuie sur la diversité de leurs parcours pour proposer une fusion cohérente, structurée et accessible à un large public.
