Bongile Pateni
Bio
With over 10 years in the music industry, Bongile Pateni is a professional A&R, artist manager, music publishing administrator, mentor, radio and TV plugger.
He holds a Music Business Certificate from the Music Business Academy for Africa and earned an additional certification through a bursary from SAMRO in partnership with the Soul Candi Institute of Music for Music Business Training Programme.
Bongile has played a pivotal role in grooming emerging artists and producers who have gone on to collaborate with prominent artists and earn award nominations.
He has also contributed as an assistant music compiler for specific shows on Ekhephini FM and Lukhanji FM, and played a key role in selecting guest DJs for Ukhozi FM's Hip-Hop show. He was part of Umhlobo Wenene FM’s afternoon drive show, where he curated African music mixes every Monday at 17:05 for three years.
He's also part of the team behind MBA for Africa’s talent project, Pepple Street, in partnership with The Orchard.
